29/04/08 - The day Wei Heng blogged
Next, came the geography test! In my opinion the question were not hard, the only problem was the lack of time as I did not really divide the time well and ended up writing perhaps a bit too much for a question that gave only like 2 marks...
To be honest....my memory is so bad I can't remember what we did for Lit....Ok wait it was about propaganda. It turned out more like a history lesson, though thats quite nice. The things we learn about propaganda would be used in our studying of 'Animal Farm'.
Next up was Chinese. To remain as politically correct as possible, this is a no comment( except for the fact that the class was destructive during lesson ).
After recess ws history. All of us must have been thinking - " NOOOOOO " but apparently most found the history test rather easy. Good for them! Though it seems like most people were just happy that one test was down, and only 2 more to go for this term. I wrote like 2 pages with blanks! Thats, laugh if you must, the fastest I've written in forty minutes i think.
Science was just going through test corrections and clarifying doubts. I thought I would have failed but surprisingly got a baseline A2. Not too bad but then because of my Maths results I can kiss a good MSG goodbye.
" Refer to paragraph 4 "
To end off the day was Maths. Mr Tan was as usual, angry at how incompetent we were at grasping the basics of algebra. Though he scolded us a lot but it was quite a good period for me as I finally got like no mistakes after 2 straight redos in previous worksheets. Overjoyed!
Oh yes maybe you would like to hear about our Genesis trip mishap. The incompetent ( my favourite word? ) taxi driver insisted he knew where the ' Genesis Special School ' was yet instead took us to ' Genesis Kindergarten and Montessori ' which was like entirely different. In the end we had to cancel the appointment because no taxi-driver seemed to know where the school was. Oh yes Mr Krison we weren't slacking it was an agreement between Genesis and us that it would be better to skip this appointment. It was like 2.40!
Thats about all, except when I went home I was in the lift with my eccentric neighbour. He asked me when I was going to be enlisted for NS. I said i'm only thirteen. He said , " Oh, " and walked away....creepy
Yes, thats really all. I guess the Sports day's going to be a bore because of something( we arent sitting beside NYGH which might or might not be what you are thinking of. Hey it might be No Yellow Grapes Here or something )
Oh and if you really care and actually go to the extent of changing these wingdings to normal font, you might find something. Yet it just shows how much you care about what I write! Ego meter crashes

What Happened in Class on 28/4/08
Monday Blues as usual, woke up late, caught the 3rd bus. Intended to board the 2nd bus... in the end the 3rd bus went uber slow ==" Reached flag raising, then Zi Yang whacked me, then somehow Yong Ming did the same to me and punched me -.- flag raising, sang it with pride even though i am a Malaysian, then went back to class and did newspaper reading. Class was quiet, and that was gd ;)
After that we went to the LT2, and some of us were thinking like:" AHH WE GONNA DIE XD" and sth like that.... However, to our surprise, we instead watched some iNteResTIng movies such as " ~~~ breathing ( din catch that) & ~~~~~ partners". Suddenly the whole class became horny O_o The 1st one we watched is the one about movement, and showed how facinating animals moved. The photoshop kept showing the frames of animals jumping. Some were interesting. And somewhat the " Sidewinder" snake sounds familiar... and it kept moving as an 'S' shape.
Next up was the Defence one. Only could remember the birds pooping at the enemies to help a friend =D. There was also the spitting one. Then they said" Humans are the only ones who are weird, as they have no self defence measures." .... lol but they said we have a quick learning mind ^^ The last one they showed is the one where animals act as if they died WHEN A TORNADO IS HEADING RIGHT TOWARDS THeM... who would want to act dead when a tornado is coming.. =.=
lastly is the i forgot the name... it is potions or breathing.. i forgot... but there was the drunken bee, and the bird acting like the old phoenix theory :). Recess afterwards, raced Edward and Zi Yang to see who reached the canteen 1st and i won ^^ saved $1.30 instead of buying ho run buy 70c mian T.T
Next up is the Assembly. Sung the school conduct song, after that there was a skit about internet chatting. It was VERY interesting, and The main stars are William and Cindy. They kept quarreling about who to use the com, they chatted on msn, and then danced to songs O_o and there was this mysterious "pretty and sweet" gal that William saw. After that moment i found out that HCI sec 1 boys are a little wrong =X jkjk The next weird part is when they quarrelled over the computer, they did some 'kungfu taiji style' then suddenly scissors paper stone. LOL then there was this masked guy, who threatened them into selling drugs. * dramatic music*
Learnt the 7 facts about safety internet surfing, and then we had a show about silkroad by TBB ><><
Next up was lit. Ty Mr Krison 4 giving us time for revising for our geog and history ^^ after that we discussed about the " Show me" Descriptive language to improve on our writting. Suddenly Mr Krison said " Janielle ( dunno whether spell correctly. sori if i insulted u james) instead of the girls. We laughed at him, and then continued on the lesson. Btw guys the presentation is uploaded onto the IVLE. after that, we learnt about cliches, followed by a discussion about the " If we get our Class MSG lower than last terms" thing. If 1 guy worsens his results, we need to pay $5 to the wadeva " iStupid" fund =.= then after Mr Krison said that the highest scorer will receive it, there was an uproar. The Leslie-L***** s***** would get it as he sure get the highest de... ( and i no hope since i get the lowest in class T.T) after that, when we greeted Mr Krison goodbye, i was sharpening my pencil. then when i took the pencil out in a hurry the lead thing dropped. it was immediately greeted by mr krison as a " JIAHAO HOW DARE YOU DIRTY THE CLASS LIKE THAT WHAT ARE YOU A ANIMAL THEN I WOULD GLADLY PUT YOU INTO THE MANDAI ZOO" after that andika did sth weird, and mr krison said he was my next primate friend.
After that was TBB, watched an African vid, then sang the German song, watch vid again, then went home.
every1 gd luck for your test tmr~ pls dun get worse or u nid to pay to the iStupid fund lol

The photos could not be downloaded from my phone due to vista compatibility (sadly), so more on that later.
Today started off like any other day, with flag raising and all, just that I won Samuel in worms before flag raising (let's not go into details shall we?) After that we had our Chinese discussion. The discussion was more like a press conference, as Yong Ming and Jun Hong can testify to. Today's topic was something about the father (Mathew Neo) not trusting the son (Wei Dong). James did a good job writing the points on the board, and Han Yi did a good job keeping the class's mouth sealed up with silicon randomly. After the discussion, we had art and all the 三点透视 stuff, which was quite interesting. After that , PE came and we had basketball (some others went to play soccer).
After recess was English, with Yong Ming randomly forgetting that his compre was inside his bag, and got his eyebrows pulled, ripped and teared off by Mr Krison. Today's Math was scolding free, much to the relieve of the class, and we learnt how to change the subject when there is a square root. After that was Chinese, with Miss Fang continuing on the 课文.

NOW THAT THE EXAMS ARE (almost) OVER, I CAN BLOG!!!
Today was a pretty tiring but monotonous day, with the exception that we had a WHOPPING GREAT TWO TESTS!!! Science was a wee bit easy if your arithmetic skills were good, and English literally cracked everyone's brains!
But before that, let me describe to you what happened today. As per normal, we had the flag raising; many of us sang it with our eyes drooping and half closed. Well, after that, it was reading period. Right at the dot when the bell rang, Mr Tan KK (My favourite teacher!) strode into the classroom, and boomed, "EVERYONE, GO TO LT2 NOW FOR THE SCIENCE TEST!" Our blood curdled. Our hair stood on ends. Cold sweat trickled down our spines. Shaking with terror, we shuffled our feet SLOWLY to the LT. It was as if we were going to a concentration camp and get gased. I had the collywobbles, with butterflies in my stomach.
Finally, THE DREADED SCIENCE TEST STARTED! As usual, Mr Tan put the timer on the computer. We all tensed up and rushed to finish the test.
Ding-dong! The timer rang. Everyone heaved a sigh of relief while Mr Tan collected the test papers. We had literature thereafter, where Mr Krison was pretty desperate to go through with us some English to do some last-minute revision. Then, it was Maths. Mr Tan CW went through with us Algebraic Formulae and shifted me with Bo Wei. >:(
RIIIINNNGGG!!! The long awaited bell rung! Nearly the whole class made a hasty exit out of the class. However, I remained and gleefully chatted with YJ and Jeffrey about DM!
Ok, the rest of the periods were basically revision. Mr Chua went through with us the format on how to do the History test, and again, Mr Krison urgently hurried through the comprehension on Mr Bose.
Finally, CHINESE!!! (Or slacking time to many people) I could not really pay attention as the class was disruptive and James, along with Andre, kept chatting with me! Furthermore, there was a lot of glare on the whiteboard as Mr Krison changed my seat! >>>>>>:( I complained to Fang Lao Shi after the Chinese period that I did not like my new seat as I could not see the whiteboard and James and Andre kept talking to me.
I have to go sleep now, so bye for now!

23 April
During NCC, someone had 14 mistakes with his uniform so we all had to pump 28 times...not very fun. During drills session, i just sat at one corner as i could not take part(my leg remember?) A few people had to pump for not locking arm etc. PT was much nicer as this time it was unique, instead of the boring push-ups and sit-ups. We had to identify everyone in part A(which is what all the NCC cadets in the Sec 1 are called). For any person that was failed to be identified, we had to pump 5. Then we had debrief which was long and rather tedious.
So that's basically all that happened today, and Nicholas, too bad you didn't post, no ACE for you

10 april
after that, was geography.
during geography, we were discussing when the test should be. after geography, was literature, everything went on as usual during literature and there were a few presentations. after literature was maths. Mr Tan scolded many people for handing up the assignments when they were of very low quality etc.
after recess, it was history. Mr. Leong gave us back the questions and told us that Mr. Chua would be teaching us again next week. and added that we could ask him questions about school life(and maybe girlfriends).
the rest of the day was uneventful, after one English period, and two chinese periods, we went home XD.

Today 7 April Monday
Anyway, today started out the same, with reading period with the English newspaper. There was a funny article on how students played April fools pranks on their teachers. Anyway, the first period was Science with Mr TanKK. We went to SPACE because Mr tan thought it would be a more "conducive learning environment" for us, though unfortunately many people were misbehaving and talking, causing Mr Tan to pause many times and even scolding us. We were late for recess.
After recess, there was Assembly period. It is my observation that the students seem to be coming earlier... Anyway, for assembly there was a talk on MI (Multiple Intelligences), and MIDAS (wonder if you'll turn into gold when you touch it...), a test which was designed to measure your intelligence level for different aspects. Keith and Andre both fell asleep during the assembly, and Mr Krison had to get Wei Dong and me to wake them up.
Next was Mr Krison's period, where Dexing and Edward read out the poem on two mothers in a HDB playground to the class. In my opinion, Dexin read better with more expression. After that Edward did his poem presentation on the same poem, with a lot of laughs at the parts where he highlighted imagery. Mr Krison aparently was not very delighted with our presentations, and told us to go home to touch it up and submit by wednesday.
Lastly was music. Mr TanBB showed us a powerpoint on how music is affected by social factors or something like that. First we watched a clip on an indian wedding ceremony, after that we watched a clip about a getai performance. Mr TanBB had to go off for a meeting or lunch I forgot which, but he said it was OK to be late because then the director would be so impressed that he is teaching his class well... ha ha...
Anyway, that's all for today.
THE END
P.S. Since Nicholas and some others have been repeatedly bugging me about it, 'Eruant' is Matthew in Sindarin, one of the languages of the Elves of J.R.R. Tolkien.

A great poem website

Poems for you guys
1.Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein
There is a place where the sidewalk ends
And before the street begins,
And there the grass grows soft and white,
And there the sun burns crimson bright,
And there the moon-bird rests from his flight
To cool in the peppermint wind.
Let us leave this place where the smoke blows black
And the dark street winds and bends.
Past the pits where the asphalt flowers grow
We shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And watch where the chalk-white arrows go
To the place where the sidewalk ends.
Yes we'll walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And we'll go where the chalk-white arrows go,
For the children, they mark, and the children, they know
The place where the sidewalk ends.
2.Fire and Ice by Robert Frost
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favour fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.
3.The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
4.The Lesson by Maya Angelou
I keep on dying again.
Veins collapse, opening like the
Small fists of sleeping
Children.
Memory of old tombs,
Rotting flesh and worms do
Not convince me against
The challenge. The years
And cold defeat live deep in
Lines along my face.
They dull my eyes, yet
I keep on dying,
Because I love to live.
That is about it.

2/4/2008 through the eyes of Low Wei Dong
During the reading period, Mr. Krison stepped in and called Zi Yang out. halfway through his talk with Zi Yang, he stepped in once more, this time to scold the CMC for allowing the class to be rowdy. After reading period was 2 periods of IS. This was one of the only subjects worth going on time according to some of us, who sped ahead of the others to reach the air-conditioned computer lab. Our project this time was to do a program to find out the sum of a 3-digit number's digits. At first it was all very complicated, but with the help of Shan Yao and Mathew Lee, not forgetting the teacher, I was able to hand the project in before the end of the lesson.
After that, it was Chinese with Ms. Fang. She was very cross with us as many of us did not hand in our work on time. Following her lesson was our favourite period, recess! i went to the poolside cafe to have a drink and some snacks.
Then it was maths with Mr. Tan. Boy, is algebra tough! There were many questions which I could not do without Mr. Tan's help. Then it was english, Mr. Krison's lesson seemed to breze through somehow. Geography was not that bad either.
For the sports heats later on in the day, Bo Wei, James and I went for the 200 metres sprint. Bo Wei came in a decent 2nd place with me third. James was not competing in the same heat as us, he came in 3rd. Samuel went for the 800 metres race. he did not do very well, coming in 4th out of the five people racing, but I believe that with enough practice, nothing was impossible.
Okay, I will end of here, sorry for the late post (if you consider it late) and adieu.
The revolution of action has just begun,

1st April 2008 - April Fool's Day
Today was like any other day but there were two very significant events going on throughout the whole day. April Fool's Day, which was today, was an event that lasted throughout the whole day. Although I do not see and significance in this event, many people like it and play jokes and pranks on their fellow friends. I personally did not celebrate April Fool's Day.
The other significant event today was the 1st Prleiminary Round of the Project Day's Competition. This marks the first time I and my groupmates ever preseted our project. The atmosphere was tense and most of us were filled with anxiety. As we were the only Seconsary 1 group in the room, we presented first. We tried our best and we were generally quite pleased with ourselves.
After our group's presentation, it was followed by many other group's presentation and I am quite amazed by how the Secondary 2 present. It was really good and I feel that we should learn from them on their presentation skills and how they carry themselves during the presentation.
After the presentaions, we had our recess. I went down to the canteen and bought some food for consumption. After that, we went back to the room for more presentations.
We were released at 12.30p.m. today. After then, I went to the Library to do some research and to do my duty as a Librarian. I wrapped books and I saw television crew in the Library preparing and rehearsing for a talk in tomorrow's morning news on Channel 8.
After which, I went back home. This is basically what happened today and what I went through today.
