Today, i came early to school to get to the TKK statue behind the terraces as my NCC Staff Sergeant needed to give us our NCC application forms. Afterwards wsas flag-raising. SInce everyone came to the terraces so late. The band had a chance to play three pieces of music before the National Anthem.
The reading period wen ton as usual, we got our asia weekly and Leslie and Han Yi got called by Mr. Krison.
The first period was geography and we had got very little overall, 50% of the people failed! I just passed with 16 out of 30 =X
The second period was math, we got to learn about subtraction, multiplication and division of binary numbers. #_#
The third period was chinese and we had a comprehension test. Many people could not finish and we needed to take up reccess time. X_X
The fourth period was literature/english where we got to learn about Poetry and we interpreted the "Hidden meaning" of "the Butterfly Jar". We also learnt about the different types of poems. *_*
The fifth period was science and we had to go to a website to do a worksheet. We were asked to bring it home as some of us could not finish it. @_@
The last period was music and we got to sing "hwa chong xing" and "let's be" (GATSBY! XD)after M. Tan BB told us something about violence and that 2 sec 1 people were boxing each other. O_o

Today through the eyes of James 27-2-08
Hey everyone,
James here :)
Okay, here's what happened today:
Well, I reached school early for the 1st time in, like, 2 weeks? So yeah, my achievement of the week.
Introduced the SNGS gals during flag-raising. Not really interested though, neither was tha robotics thing.
Went back to class to have reading period, though i don't favour the material (please lah, it's chinese. what do you expect?) Math up next. Did binary no.s. Seems rather elementary actually. So yeah, had fun, did some cool math stuff. Following that was English. I re-did my compo 'cos my 1st was just plain c**ppy. Recess was next, the time we actually have fun in school. Hung out at 1N. So much fun there, better than our class. (hinting i want a transfer) Chinese. Shown a .ppt file on compre (chinese). So i almost fell asleep. Science was following that. Got our results. Didn't think i did too bad, though. Went to lab and did pendulum thing. Partnered Jeff. We make quite a good team :)
So after that (that being lunch, fast forwardin here), we went to drama centre for RS, but no body turned up for half an hour, buyt everyone got restless within a minute. Shouted loud once. Everyone turned. Didn't think it be that loud. Ended up with Mr Chen turning up with a DVD on presenting. Surprisingly, people paid attention. Went to Auditorium for the ANGLES (a new generation for something something something) grand finale. Didn't know i was there, since i didn't go for tha workshop. Everyone from each consortium did very well, but iSpark did the best :) I liked 1 particular topic for the impromptu speech (MUSCLES). So when the judges were making their decision, everyone became restless again, so we started talking, much to the dislike of the emcee. SO he got us to sing and move around in our seat, but the suspense kept our excess energy there. Did some cheering, shouted loudly again. So at the end, thanks to all the effort from Jay, Jarrett and Jarel, iSpark come out on top, beatin defending champs Ortus. Did more cheering :)
After that i went home, so thats where i am now.

What happened today: Cross Country (26/2/08)
We had our Cross Coutry run today. Since it was raining, we had to wait until 8 a.m. in order to know if the cross coutry was postponed or not. In the end, we still had the cross country, but they had shortened the distance due to wet ground (I think).
As it had just rained, the ground was very slippery. Many people slipped and fell due to this. I had quite a fun time participating in the Cross Country. Though tiring, i felt a sense of achievement after i had completed the run. There was also Milo 'waiting' for us after the run to rehydrate us. I had three cups, but i know other people who had much more.
We had the prize presentation at around 10 a.m.. The only person in class who got into top 10 was James. At least there was one from our class. When the prize presentation was over, we were dismissed and could go home. I reached home at around 11.50 a.m.. Earliest ever since school started, except Chinese New Year celebration.

What Happened Today (25/2/08
Today we had history for our first period and we had three groups, one on William Farquahar, the other on John Crawfurd and finally Lee Kuan Yew. It was a rather fun presentation and discussion.
Each group including my group, on Sir stamford Raffles, had to argue about how was the real founder of Singapore. Jame's group argued that William had contributed the most in the development of Singapore. While Yong Ming's group argued that John was the one who made the whole Singapore a British possesion and thus founded the whole of Singapore. Then, the group doing on Lee Kuan Yew argued that he founded Independent Singapore while other groups were argueing about who founded colonial Singapore.
My group, defined the meaning of founder and argued that Raffles,played by me, is the one who signed the formal treaty that allowed him to start a settlement in Singapore. (If I had to say the truth, I would say that all groups did quite well and out of them all, my group stood out the most.)
Today we also had an English Composition and many of us said that it was tough. I found it not that tough nor that easy. I hope that we all will do well.
Well, that is what mainly happened today.

Today, I blogged for the first time. The feeling is very queer, as you know what you have written will be seen by Mr Krison.
I actually am a bit against blogging, since people(in my opinion) will often type Nonsense in a blog, which frankly isn't something that I am happy about. However, I must say that with Mr Krison watching over it like a hawk makes me a little bit comfortable with this blog.
By the way, if you find that my blog has something wrong,Please do not "krisonificate"me as I am still very unfamiliar with it.
The blog so far seems to be a diary of a person's day at school. HOwever I believe that the blog should be an opinion of a certain subject and not a public diary which currently seems to be the case now.
May someone post a guide on the blog to let us know how to better navigate the place. I took a least ten minutes before I finally found out how to post a blog. In fact, I (strongly) belive that this is the most confusing website I ever seen!

Today, basically we had our usual reading period in the morning, however no one was asked to talk with Mr Krison and our Geography teacher Mdm Shirley Lim kept coming into class, which wasn't strange since the first lesson is Geography.
We had the whole lesson devoted to completing a table version of a population change percentage line graph, which actually made me think which type of graph was easier to use. This was followed by the continuation of our Mathematics test corrections, and invariably a talk by our Maths teacher Mr Tan Chee Wee about the opinion on our results, which he found disappointing but wanted to make the paper harder - is that an oxymoron? We went on to begin the new unit of Binary Numbers.
Then, it was our Chinese lesson and there was a similar order of events as the Chinese teacher (unknown title)Fang Da Wei told us that we didn't do too well in our Section A, but went on to explain about a few of the good pieces of essays; rather like letters though.
After recess, Mr Krison came in again and asked us to show him our files. Unfortunately, since a number of us did not do the filing yet, we were faced with the chore of filing and ordering them in class - I myself had my English file at home, my Literature file in the locker, and all my notes in my own folder. Directly after this came the highly-awaited (with different contexts based on different people) Science test, where the Science teacher Mr Tan Kok Kim told us to edit 3 questions and make the last question - a crossword puzzle - change in its value from 14 marks to 4 marks, causing a small stifle in the class with a few people claiming they prepared a lot for the crossword puzzle!
40 minutes later, the test ended with various responses - some cheered for joy, probably feeling it was an easy paper; some continued with what they were doing before; some anticipated for the upcoming Music lesson; others started with the "crossword stifle" again... In a few minutes we were at the Music Room, and we were faced with a talk from the Music teacher Mr Tan Boon Beng; also "affectionately" recognised as "Mr Tan Bee Bee". The talk was about racial discrimination towards Indian culture and since a lot of pupils found it funny and laughed during the talk, the lesson was prolonged to 1.30 pm causing the monitor Wai Lun to leave the class then as Mr Krison called up halfway through.
I think the events which happened today are a little jumbled up, but anyway that is how things go about.

Today nothing much happened in class. The only thing which was exciting in class was Mr Chua scolding Zi Yang's history group. So today was not a good day. Out of class was the first fire drill which we have had this year, and I have to say that it is much more organized than in my previous school, mainly because the coridors and hallways are larger and more open.
After class, Mr Tan(as in the maths teacher) made nearly half the class stay back to do maths corrections. That stinks because I missed lunch because of it(not thatI need lunch but it would have been nice).
While I am blogging, I would also like to tell people like Yong Jian and Samuel to stop having private onversations on the yahoo e-grouop and not to make comments which are irrelevant and does not help everyone to get on withe their lives. Misuse of the yahoo e-group in this way is what has been causing my yahoo page to slow down to the point of inaccesibility.

a recount of what happened on monday...11/2/08
This is just something that Mr.Krison wanted US to do, and this is just a rough one. I did this on Wednesday, and i have a short-term memory, so dun go spamming the comments box saying this or that is wrong. Thank you for the cooperation! Here goes...
The morning went on as usual, with morning assembly and reading period. First period was history, Mr.Chua went through with our homework. Then it was Chinese period. Ms/Mrs/Mdm Fang revised with us an old chapter and taught us new words and phrases. Finally,it was recess.We had an earlier recess than usual because there was AP,which is assembly period, which also caused me and some other friends to be unable to play soccer, because we cant go into the auditorium sweaty...
AP was like usual, to me, boring. I'd rather be off with lessons, seriously. Mr Tan Chee Wee talked about 3 of the 7 habits of successful youths or something like that. the 3 were: Be proactive, First Things First, Begin with the End in Mind. I could not recall what happened in AP after that...
Right after AP is Mr Tan CW's lesson. Unfortunately for him, because the assembly dragged too long into his period, he got only a few tens of minutes to teach us. In the end he talked about how badly our homework was done, about the % of people that needed to do corrections and HAND UP to him. "Riiiiiinnnng..." The last 2 periods were Mr.Krison's. Unfortunately, we got lectured by him about how BADLY done our lit test was done...This is bad!We're gonna die for lit... Just joking, we have to improve though... Only Yongming got the organization of his essay correct. Incredible! 1 out of 26! That lecture was the only thing i remembered in Mr.Krison's period, since it was the most significant incident...
That is all, unless Mr.Krison wants to know about what happened after school ended, but im sure he wouldn't bother about it. Thank you for your attention to this bunch of words...(I'm sorry i cant say much or any slang...i have to be careful about my words in case i get pawned...)

Chinese New Year
My Chinese-New-Year-Eve-School-Morning look in a cab. We have to wear something red to usher in the good luck and fortune for the lunar new year. I put on a jacket on my otherwise too casual red polo t-shirt. :)
Chinese Paper Lanterns hovering above the Chinese Language teachers' desks in the staff room. They add a touch of festive mood to the otherwise mundane atmosphere to the Chinese New Year celebration.
The lion dance performance on the Chinese New Year Eve in the school hall. The lion dance troop is subsumed under the Scouts Ep3. It is always fun to watch how the boys balance and manipulate the heavy lion head. Is it something you enjoy watching? I surely did.
People praying at the Goddess of Mercy Temple, near Bugis, for a year of blessing, health and good fortune. After paying S$1 for 3 chopstick-thick joss sticks, I was one of the hundreds of people trying to plunge my joss sticks into the urn and hope that the Goddess would find my offering acceptable and grant me my prayer. And of course, I managed to leave them in the urn for about 5 seconds before the cleaners clear every single stick out of the huge brass urn so that other believers can also make their offerings. And what about you?
