23 April
During NCC, someone had 14 mistakes with his uniform so we all had to pump 28 times...not very fun. During drills session, i just sat at one corner as i could not take part(my leg remember?) A few people had to pump for not locking arm etc. PT was much nicer as this time it was unique, instead of the boring push-ups and sit-ups. We had to identify everyone in part A(which is what all the NCC cadets in the Sec 1 are called). For any person that was failed to be identified, we had to pump 5. Then we had debrief which was long and rather tedious.
So that's basically all that happened today, and Nicholas, too bad you didn't post, no ACE for you

10 april
after that, was geography.
during geography, we were discussing when the test should be. after geography, was literature, everything went on as usual during literature and there were a few presentations. after literature was maths. Mr Tan scolded many people for handing up the assignments when they were of very low quality etc.
after recess, it was history. Mr. Leong gave us back the questions and told us that Mr. Chua would be teaching us again next week. and added that we could ask him questions about school life(and maybe girlfriends).
the rest of the day was uneventful, after one English period, and two chinese periods, we went home XD.

Today 7 April Monday
Anyway, today started out the same, with reading period with the English newspaper. There was a funny article on how students played April fools pranks on their teachers. Anyway, the first period was Science with Mr TanKK. We went to SPACE because Mr tan thought it would be a more "conducive learning environment" for us, though unfortunately many people were misbehaving and talking, causing Mr Tan to pause many times and even scolding us. We were late for recess.
After recess, there was Assembly period. It is my observation that the students seem to be coming earlier... Anyway, for assembly there was a talk on MI (Multiple Intelligences), and MIDAS (wonder if you'll turn into gold when you touch it...), a test which was designed to measure your intelligence level for different aspects. Keith and Andre both fell asleep during the assembly, and Mr Krison had to get Wei Dong and me to wake them up.
Next was Mr Krison's period, where Dexing and Edward read out the poem on two mothers in a HDB playground to the class. In my opinion, Dexin read better with more expression. After that Edward did his poem presentation on the same poem, with a lot of laughs at the parts where he highlighted imagery. Mr Krison aparently was not very delighted with our presentations, and told us to go home to touch it up and submit by wednesday.
Lastly was music. Mr TanBB showed us a powerpoint on how music is affected by social factors or something like that. First we watched a clip on an indian wedding ceremony, after that we watched a clip about a getai performance. Mr TanBB had to go off for a meeting or lunch I forgot which, but he said it was OK to be late because then the director would be so impressed that he is teaching his class well... ha ha...
Anyway, that's all for today.
THE END
P.S. Since Nicholas and some others have been repeatedly bugging me about it, 'Eruant' is Matthew in Sindarin, one of the languages of the Elves of J.R.R. Tolkien.

Poems for you guys
1.Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein
There is a place where the sidewalk ends
And before the street begins,
And there the grass grows soft and white,
And there the sun burns crimson bright,
And there the moon-bird rests from his flight
To cool in the peppermint wind.
Let us leave this place where the smoke blows black
And the dark street winds and bends.
Past the pits where the asphalt flowers grow
We shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And watch where the chalk-white arrows go
To the place where the sidewalk ends.
Yes we'll walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And we'll go where the chalk-white arrows go,
For the children, they mark, and the children, they know
The place where the sidewalk ends.
2.Fire and Ice by Robert Frost
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favour fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.
3.The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
4.The Lesson by Maya Angelou
I keep on dying again.
Veins collapse, opening like the
Small fists of sleeping
Children.
Memory of old tombs,
Rotting flesh and worms do
Not convince me against
The challenge. The years
And cold defeat live deep in
Lines along my face.
They dull my eyes, yet
I keep on dying,
Because I love to live.
That is about it.

2/4/2008 through the eyes of Low Wei Dong
During the reading period, Mr. Krison stepped in and called Zi Yang out. halfway through his talk with Zi Yang, he stepped in once more, this time to scold the CMC for allowing the class to be rowdy. After reading period was 2 periods of IS. This was one of the only subjects worth going on time according to some of us, who sped ahead of the others to reach the air-conditioned computer lab. Our project this time was to do a program to find out the sum of a 3-digit number's digits. At first it was all very complicated, but with the help of Shan Yao and Mathew Lee, not forgetting the teacher, I was able to hand the project in before the end of the lesson.
After that, it was Chinese with Ms. Fang. She was very cross with us as many of us did not hand in our work on time. Following her lesson was our favourite period, recess! i went to the poolside cafe to have a drink and some snacks.
Then it was maths with Mr. Tan. Boy, is algebra tough! There were many questions which I could not do without Mr. Tan's help. Then it was english, Mr. Krison's lesson seemed to breze through somehow. Geography was not that bad either.
For the sports heats later on in the day, Bo Wei, James and I went for the 200 metres sprint. Bo Wei came in a decent 2nd place with me third. James was not competing in the same heat as us, he came in 3rd. Samuel went for the 800 metres race. he did not do very well, coming in 4th out of the five people racing, but I believe that with enough practice, nothing was impossible.
Okay, I will end of here, sorry for the late post (if you consider it late) and adieu.
The revolution of action has just begun,

1st April 2008 - April Fool's Day
Today was like any other day but there were two very significant events going on throughout the whole day. April Fool's Day, which was today, was an event that lasted throughout the whole day. Although I do not see and significance in this event, many people like it and play jokes and pranks on their fellow friends. I personally did not celebrate April Fool's Day.
The other significant event today was the 1st Prleiminary Round of the Project Day's Competition. This marks the first time I and my groupmates ever preseted our project. The atmosphere was tense and most of us were filled with anxiety. As we were the only Seconsary 1 group in the room, we presented first. We tried our best and we were generally quite pleased with ourselves.
After our group's presentation, it was followed by many other group's presentation and I am quite amazed by how the Secondary 2 present. It was really good and I feel that we should learn from them on their presentation skills and how they carry themselves during the presentation.
After the presentaions, we had our recess. I went down to the canteen and bought some food for consumption. After that, we went back to the room for more presentations.
We were released at 12.30p.m. today. After then, I went to the Library to do some research and to do my duty as a Librarian. I wrapped books and I saw television crew in the Library preparing and rehearsing for a talk in tomorrow's morning news on Channel 8.
After which, I went back home. This is basically what happened today and what I went through today.

Today, nothing interesting happened, nothing like the "Paper Wars". The sport day thing started today but my events are tomorrow. We did some science in the morning before heading off for the first time to the air-conditioned science laboratory. We got to play with dead leaves, Bunsen burners and alcohol! After that we rushed off to recess. The queues today were "record-breakingly" long. I didn't even bother to eat anything. During assembly, Mr Hon had a dialog with us on the extra recess issue. Not exactly the most interesting assembly but okay. Then Mr Krison's lesson till 12.40, yay! Followed by music then freedom. Finally most of us went home(some later than others) and probably added the finishing touches on their presentation |

NICE PARODY
I thank nicholus for not copylefting it.
The 1o Newspaper fight:
Liew Shan Yao was fooling around
class 1o like a big playground
when suddenly Ryan burst from his desk
and threw paper balls, thus making a mess
and then the paper balls hit the silent Bo Wei
as Ryan marked the start of a violent day
and he started reflecting Shan Yao's paper balls
but they all hit the unresponding walls
so it finally hit Jia Hao, making him outrageous
but he stared at Zi Yang, like the Power Rangers
It was a case of big misunderstanding in 1o
making Wei Heng try to stop them, like Mascherano
but Zi Yang thought it was Edward, and he threw a ball at him
making Edward stare and sizzle and scream
Thus the fight continued, with Jia Hao still mad
And James Chong shouting to stop the bad... ...
<>
Chorus:
This is the newspaper battle, of paper balls flying here and there
Throwing, shouting and mad violence, and Zi Yang shouting,"It's not fair!"
And only one'll emerge to tell it to Mr. Krison
This is the newspaper battle... ...
of paper balls flying here and there
<>
Edward took a blow and tried to retaliate
Wong Zi Yang who he wanted to terminate
Then James Chong emerged, and shouted out loudly,
"Stop it! Stop it! You are all going crazy!"
Now that silence was here, golden and steady
Mr. Krison was staring, full and ready
And he stomped into the class, totally boiling
As his face black as thunder, found Zi Yang crying
And then everyone turned around staring at the squabble
While Mr. Krison took a gulp from his bottle
Thus he turned around, and reprimanded Zi Yang for it
And he asked Edward Chow Jun Mun not to sit
But then he found out that Shan Yao and Ryan had started it
And he punished them, like Mrs. Fitt
Hence the matter was solved and the class learned their lesson
With the perpetrators turning crimson... ...
<>
Chorus:
This is the newspaper battle, of paper balls flying here and there
Throwing, shouting and mad violence, and Zi Yang shouting,"It's not fair!"
And only one'll emerge to tell it to Mr. Krison
This is the newspaper battle... ...
Part 2
"So this started the day,
but it wasn't quite right,
with Mr Krison changing places
thus ending the fight
and since it was unsteady
the Paper Goat was ready
to be moved right in front
with the treasurer unfading
Andika Wijaya and
Andre Lim Zhi Sheng by far
moved to the far back
so far that it was like a star
Jia Hao and Boo Daulby were in line
Jeffrey, Jun Hong, James Chong and Wu Yong
Ming (or Wuym)
all got sent to the side of class in a rush,
causing all twenty-seven to be rid of a hush,
it was the noisiest incident which has ever been
taken place right in class which just has been cleaned...
the whole thing ended unexpectedly
so the place was deemed to be fully free
and the culprit emerged
while we all saw hated
the dreaded 1D messing it up; we're all FATED!!!!!
Chorus
This is the newspaper battle, of paper balls flying
here and there
Throwing, shouting and mad violence, and Zi Yang shouting,"It's not fair!"
And only one'll emerge to tell it to Mr. Krison
This is the newspaper battle... ...
of paper balls flying here and there
This is the newspaper battle... this is the
newspaper battle...
This is the newspaper battle...
of the paper balls now ceasing to fly."
